Some plants feel like they belong to the daylight...and others seem made for those quiet hours when the veil between our waking mind and dream world feels just a little thinner. 🌙🪷✨
Dreamweaver’s Kiss was created for the latter.
This floral, dreamy herbal smoking blend brings together plants whose histories are intertwined with relaxation, sensuality, ritual, love, dream work, introspection, and spiritual practice.
But if you’ve never worked with herbs like Blue Lotus or Wild Dagga before, then you’re probably wondering, “Okay...but what does something like this actually FEEL like, does this actually make you high?” 👀
Well, unlike cannabis, Dreamweaver’s Kiss contains no THC or CBD, so don't expect the traditional cannabis “head-high.” The experience and sensations with these herbs tend to be more subtle and can vary from person to person.
✨Think dreamy, warm, relaxed, sensual, meditative, slightly floaty, and mildly euphoric rather than intensely intoxicated.
🌿This blend brings together seven herbs, each contributing its own character, traditional uses, and energetic magic:
🪷 Blue Lotus - The dreamy heart of this blend. Blue lotus (Nymphaea caerulea) has a fascinating history particularly tied to ancient Egypt, where the flower appears alongside themes of rebirth, divinity, and the Sun.
Blue lotus contains naturally occurring alkaloids such as nuciferine, a compound researched for its interactions with several neurotransmitter systems, including dopamine and serotonin receptors (those are chemical signaling systems involved with things like mood, motivation, perception, reward, and sleep-wake regulation.) Many who work regularly with Blue lotus, describe their experiences as dreamy, relaxing, and mildly euphoric sensations.
Energetically, blue lotus has long been associated with rituals surrounding intuition, dream work, meditation, spiritual exploration & awakening, divination, rebirth, and connecting with the subconscious. 🧠🌙🪷 Think of her as the plant in this blend inviting you to wander a little deeper inward.✨
💜 Lavender - Our soft, aromatic exhale after a long day. Lavender has traditionally been worked with for relaxation and due to its aromatic compounds including linalool and linalyl acetate.
Linalool has been extensively studied for effects involving the nervous system and is one of the compounds researched for its relaxing aroma and calming effects.
Linalyl acetate is another ruling component of lavender essential oil & contributes heavily to its floral scent. Together, these volatile compounds are part of why simply smelling lavender can create such an unmistakeable sensory experience.
Within Dreamweaver’s Kiss, lavender brings that relaxing floral aroma and contributes to the blend's softer, slower energy. Magically, lavender has long been associated with peace, purification, protection, tranquility, love, sleep, cleansing, and dream work.
Basically, think of it like…It's the end of the day. The big lights are off. Candles are lit. Bath is running. Phone's on Do Not Disturb and you're about to bingewatch your fave emotional-support show 😌🕯️
🦁 Wild Dagga - Now THIS is one of the more interesting plants in Dreamweaver’s Kiss.
Wild dagga (Leonotis leonurus), sometimes called lion's tail, is native to South Africa plant and you'll sometimes hear it described in herbal smoking context as producing a mellow, relaxed, warm, slightly euphoric or cannabis-adjacent feeling.
And here's where I put on my herbalist hat and ruin everybody's fun for approximately ten seconds. 😂🌿
Wild Dagga contains numerous plant compounds, including diterpenoids and other secondary metabolites that likely contribute to that mellow, slightly euphoric feeling we were talking about earlier. But, Wild dagga isn't cannabis, contains no THC, and the claims surrounding its psychoactive effects are based largely on traditional use and anecdotal experiences rather than strong human clinical evidence. Some people report noticing something; others may experience very little. Both are completely possible. 🌿
Energetically, those fiery orange flowers feel very different from our lunar Blue Lotus. I associate Wild Dagga with courage, confidence, strength, protection, vitality, transformation, personal power, and fire energy. 🔥🦁
🌼 Calendula - A little bit of sunshine woven into all this lunar energy. Calendula has a rich history in traditional herbalism, especially in topical preparations used for the skin and tissue health, but those medicinal properties do not mean smoking calendula delivers those benefits. Here in Dreamweaver's kiss, it contributes primarily to the botanical & energetic character and ritual symbolism of the blend rather than serving as a medicinal component.
So Magically, Calendula carries here beautiful associations with the Sun, protection, vitality, joy, abundance, divination, love, and manifestation. ☀️
I love its energy here because Dreamweaver’s Kiss isn't meant to feel dark. It's dreamy and liminal, but there's still warmth running through it. She's our little bit of sunlight in the dream world.🌞
🌹 Rose - Because what would a kiss from the Dreamweaver be without a little Venusian magic? 😉
Rose brings a soft, floral character to the blend while energetically connecting us to Venus, love, attraction, beauty, sensuality, self-love, emotional healing, and heart-centered magic.
Rose contains an abundance of aromatic and polyphenolic plant compounds. Polyphenols are a broad family of naturally occurring compounds studied largely for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Combined with blue lotus and damiana, rose gives Dreamweaver’s Kiss its sensual personality. This isn't simply a “go to sleep” blend — it's intended to feel intimate, indulgent, dreamy, and little bit like a nice glass of wine. 🌹✨
🔥 Damiana - And here's where we turn the sensuality up another notch. 😈
Damiana has a long history of traditional use as a nervine and aphrodisiac and has developed a reputation in the herbal community for its connection to relaxation, pleasure, libido, and mood.
When smoked, some people describe damiana as warm, mellow, relaxing, sensual, mildly euphoric, or slightly dreamy.
Magically? Damiana belongs in the rituals surrounding passion, attraction, confidence, pleasure, love, desire, manifestation, and sex magic. Paired with rose + blue lotus, she really helps put the Kiss in Dreamweaver’s Kiss. 💋🌙
🌿 Mullein - And finally, something to help keep our feet on the ground.
Mullein has a long history in folk herbalism surrounding the respiratory system, particularly in preparations traditionally used for coughs and irritated throats.
In herbal smoking blends, its soft, fluffy leaves are commonly used as a neutral base, helping carry the more aromatic botanicals without completely overwhelming their personalities.
Energetically, mullein has a long history of folk associations with protection, courage, warding, spirit work, and connecting with the unseen realms — which makes it especially fitting beneath the dreamier herbs in this blend. 🕯️🌿
Blended together, Dreamweaver’s Kiss creates an experience that may feel perfect for:
🌙 Dreamy & floaty sensations
🪷 Meditation & introspective rituals
💋 Sensual & intimate moments
✨ Potentially mild euphoric sensations
🔮 Divination, tarot & spiritual practice
🌹 Love, attraction & pleasure rituals
🕯️ Quiet creative or contemplative evenings
🔥 Warm, mellow & embodied energy
💭 Exploring that space between waking & dreaming
Energetically, these plants come together beautifully around:
dreams + intuition + sensuality + love + divination + transformation + pleasure + protection + altered consciousness + spiritual exploration.
If Petal Haze is “the day is over and I'm ready to let everything go,” then Dreamweaver’s Kiss is more...
“The candles are burning, the room is quiet, my cards are on the table, music is playing somewhere in the background...and I'm curious where my mind wants to wander tonight.” 🌙🪷🔮
Dreamweaver’s Kiss isn't necessarily about getting high. It's about creating a ritual around entering a different kind of headspace; slower, softer, more sensual, introspective, and just a little mysterious.
✨ A little herbalist reality check: Herbal smoke is still smoke. Burning and inhaling ANY plant material produces particulates and respiratory irritants. Smoking these plants should not be considered an effective or safe way of receiving their medicinal benefits. When we're looking for medicinal herbal actions, we turn to appropriate preparations such as teas, tinctures, infusions, decoctions, oils, oxymels, and other preparations depending on the plant. Additionally, some herbs may cause drowsiness or interact with medications or other substances.
